If you like really creamy mash, you have to have a ricer. Much like a garlic press but larger, a ricer forces food through the many small holes in the container. As the food is extruded through the holes, it looks like strands or grains of rice, hence 'ricer'. Also great for producing purée of cooked carrot and other vegetables |
