Marcato Spaghetti Chitarra Attachment for Atlas 150 |
The Marcato Spaghetti Chitarra attachment cuts sheets of pasta into 2mm wide flat noodles. Spaghetti is usually a round noodle, but chitarra is flat. Translated from Italian, chitarra actually means guitar. A traditional chitarra for making pasta is a simple frame with wire strung back and forth across it. The wire is kept under tension making it very similar to a guitar but with many more strings! By laying a sheet of pasta over the strings and running a roller over the pasta, the strings cut through the pasta sheet to make the noodles.
