The Demeyere Mussel Pot comes with a high domed lid and thick base, designed for cooking the mussels in the pot and bringing straight to the table. Mussels are quick and easy to prepare (once the shells are clean!) and should be cooked and then served immediately. The high domed lid is reversible and can be used for holding the empty mussel shells. The pan is also a general purpose cooking pot because of its thick base.
