Questions that bubble up when we're cooking
The Swiss Diamond, Diamond Reinforced Surface
... more technological questions answered.

Swiss Diamond themselves claim that their technology is the greatest improvement in cookware since the introduction of the non-stick pan.
They guarantee a lifetime of non-stick performace because the non stick coating has been reinforced with real diamonds which is the most efficient heat conducting material on Earth, as well as being the hardest material on eath.
The Diamond crystals are embedded in a nano compostite layer on a pressure cast 6mm aluminium body.
This is the key to the Swiss Diamond claims. The rest - such as see through heat tempered glass lids or flat bases, - can be claimed by other leading frypan brands. But the heat conducting properties and the hardness of the surface - meaning that metal utensils can be used as well as the dishwasher - is the key to their winning the International Inventors Gold Award in Geneva.
The pans have had good reviews so far by top chefs and are gradually making their way into good cookshops and on line retailers. The revolution has not yet become one of those ear splitting raucous affairs. However, but could still see the back of all those cheap non stick pans that stick and get scrapped in a few months. I've just dumped my Jamie Oliver Tefal number.....
