Is the Swiss Diamond Induction Cookware suitable for a naked flame?
Hi, I would like to know whether the Swiss Diamond Stock Pot & Glass Lid - Induction is suitable for naked flame? and how much will it cost for delivery to Beijing, China? Thanks
Thank you for your enquiry. The Swiss Diamond Induction Stock Pot can be used on naked flame but this is not recommended if you think that in future you may want to use it on an induction hob. There is evidence that the naked flame can damage some of the magnetised layer of the base, thus reducing its effectiveness on an induction hob at a later date. So yes, the pan will work on a gas hob, but you need to be aware of the possible consequences of doing so. That is why Swiss Diamond simply say, don't use them with naked gas flames.
Any of our other Induction Stock Pots can be used with a naked flame, so far as we are aware, without any negative consequences.
