Can you use an Induction Plate with an Emile Henry Flame Tagine so the Tagine can be used on an Induction Hob?
Emile Henry Flame sell an induction plate for use with their ceramic pots. We checked with the UK importers whether the induction plate would work with any ceramic pot and they could not be sure as ceramic pots vary so much in materials and technology.
So, yes, you can use an induction plate with an Emile Henry Flame Tagine, in order to use the Tagine on an induction hob. Alternatively you can buy a Staub cast iron Tagine which will work on an induction hob anyway. The drawback of an Induction Plate is that it reduces the effectiveness of the hob by about 25% , sitting between the hob and the bottom of the pan you are heating.
